Fig Fantastic smoothie

This fig based smoothie is gorgeous. Tried it with family who would never eat raw figs and they absolutely loved it!

Method:

Simply drop these ingredients into a blender for about 30-60 seconds.

  • 1x cup apple & raspberry juice
  • 4x figs
  • 1x banana
  • 5x strawberries
  • 3x oatcakes (help with energy if you wish)
  • 2x tbsp natural bio yoghurt
  • 4x ice cubes

Figs:

Dates are a very good source of potassium. They are good for cardiovascular health and can help reduce the amount of insulin for people with diabetes. Fantastic in a smoothie.

Oats:

Oats help to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Excellent for stabilizing blood sugar – which is also why they can be so good as a running fuel. High in fibre and antioxidants.
